Arrival in the capital of Georgia. Hotel accommodation . Recreation

A sightseeing bus tour with sightseeing of new and old Tbilisi. Walking tour of the streets of old Tbilisi. Visit the restaurant, (at the request of guests) where the guests of the capital can taste fine Georgian dishes, as well as see national dances performed by professionals. Late at night return to the hotel.

3 day

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from the city and a trip to Gori. Gori is located at the confluence of the Kura and Liakhvi rivers in the picturesque Kartli Valley. From the south and west the city is surrounded by picturesque mountains. Despite the fact that in historical sources the city is known from the VI century, the name of Joseph Dzhugashvili, the Soviet empire from 1925 to 1953, brought him worldwide fame.

Visiting the museum. I. Stalin, who is dedicated to all aspects of his life. A special exhibit is Stalin's personal armored comfortable carriage with a luxurious interior: mirrors of Venetian glass, carved furniture. The car is divided into two parts: an office with a table, a telephone, a sofa and a bathroom. Inside the car, nothing was altered or restored. Everything, as it was during the life of Stalin.

Visiting the cave town Uplistsikhe. The ancient cave town Uplistsikhe is located 12 kilometers from Gori on the left bank of the Kura River. Uplistsikhe is carved in the cliff of Kvernaki. The city originated at the end of II - at the beginning of the I millennium BC. .., experienced several ups and downs, was finally abandoned in the XIX century. And is one of the most important monuments of Georgian culture. The uniqueness of the monument lies in the fact that, thanks to its structure, it retains the remains of architectural and religious buildings built over several millennia. In the heyday Uplistsikhe included more than 700 caves and cave structures, of which only 150 have survived to the present day.

Then visit the Athena Sionb temple which is one of the masterpieces of Georgian architecture. The Athenian Zion is located in the village of Didi Ateni (10 km from the town of Gori). The temple was built in the beginning of VII century. Inside the monastery you can see the surviving frescoes. By now, murals and reliefs on the facades have survived in the temple, including images of historical figures, the Nativity of the Virgin and a scene from the life of the saints. The temple is located on the banks of the Tana River, which makes the temple even more beautiful.

Dinner in the family cellar where delicious dishes and rare wines await guests: Atenuri and Chinebuli.

Return to Tbilisi. Night in Tbilisi

4 day

Breakfast at the hotel. Release of rooms. 1st half of the day:

Free time, a walk through old Tbilisi, an independent visit to shopping centers, shops, bazaars (buying souvenirs, mineral water, wine, cabbage, etc.)

Mtskheta is a religious center and a unique city-museum, ranked among UNESCO's cultural heritage. On the way to the city you will meet with the monastery of Jvari. This is a temple, which is a masterpiece of early Georgian architecture. Then you will visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. It is in it is the mantle of Jesus Christ.

2nd half of the day:

 The road from Tbilisi to Russia, the military-Georgian road - A source of inspiration for the great Russian writers and the well-being of the Caucasus region. Visit the ancient fortress of Ananuri. Lunch with dishes of Georgian cuisine. Zhinval water reservoir-Gudauri-Kazbegi.
